Join the Chicago Tabletop Gaming Association’s Second Annual Player/GM Matchmaking Event!
This year, we are also expanding to include a number of creators, designers, and artists in the ttrpg community to showcase more of the talented individuals and organizations in our community!
Are you ready to embark on epic quests, forge new alliances, and dive into thrilling tabletop RPG campaigns this Spring? The Chicago Tabletop Gaming Association invites you to our second annual GM/Player Matchmaking Event on March 8th, 2026, at The Color Club (4146 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL) from 12pm to 4pm!
This is your chance to connect with experienced Game Masters (GMs) and discover exciting new campaigns, one-shots, and TTRPG groups launching this Spring and Summer. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to tabletop gaming, this event is the perfect opportunity to find your next adventure!
You can also connect with local artists, game designers, creators, podcasters, and performers that are working within the ttrpg and gaming space that are working on amazing projects that individuals can support or get involved in!
This event is donate-what-you-want so we can ensure it is accessible to as many members of our community as possible, but if you have a good time, please support the CTGA and our organizing work by making a donation of $10 or more! This year we opted to rent a larger space due to the overwhelming attendance of the previous year, so all donations will go to help defray those costs and allow us to do more events like this in the future. Donations can be made at the door or online at our humanitix page and are much appreciated!
The Event Lineup:
12pm-4pm - Open House
Meet GMs and Local TTRPG Organizations: Discover a variety of campaigns and games, from fantasy epics to sci-fi sagas, run by both Professional GMs (offering paid services) and Community GMs (offering free games).
Explore and Sign Up for Upcoming Games: Learn about Spring/Summer campaigns, one-shots, special events, and programs you can join.
Meet Artists, Creators, Designers, and Performers: Learn about the individuals in our community that are taking their artistic and creative proiects beyond the table and find ways you can support their work and projects, get involved in game playtesting, or purchase some of the unique creations made by our community members!
3:00 - 3:10pm - A Few Words from the CTGA President!
Hear a few words from CTGA President Madeline Black: Learn about the CTGA, it's mission, goals, and other ways you can get involved to help us grow our ttrpg and gaming community here in Chicagoland!
3:30pm - Game & Prize Raffle!
Game Raffle to Support the CTGA: We will be hosting a raffle with several ttrpg games and gaming materials - an additional way you can support the CTGA's mission and go home with a few fun prizes at the end of the day! Support the raffle and go home with new games you can play with the friends you made at the event!
For Players:
This event is all about you! Whether you’re looking for a long-term campaign, a quick one-shot, or if you're looking for a party of adventurers so you can begin your many adventures ahead, this is your chance to dive into the world of TTRPGs and all the upcoming offerings in our great community. GMs will have decorated tables with signup sheets, resources, and even giveaways to showcase their games—so come ready to explore, ask questions, and find your next adventure!
